Screening tests for endometrial cancer in the general population

Objectives This is a protocol for Cochrane Review (diagnostic). The objectives are as follows: To assess the diagnostic accuracy of potential screening tests detection atypical hyperplasia (pre‐cancer) and endometrial cancer all stages grades in asymptomatic (healthy) women general population. Secondary determine optimal thickness cut‐off value using transvaginal ultrasound scan hyperplasia. investigate sources heterogeneity studies, including: characteristics studied population including age, menopausal status (pre‐ postmenopausal), country study risk (body mass index (BMI) categories, diabetes mellitus, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)); test such cytological classification used sampling device; methodological quality (low bias compared to high bias); disease factors (endometrioid versus non‐endometrioid, low grade grade).
